Welcome to the Grace and Strength Series. These workouts are designed to lengthen and strengthen the body with fluid combinations that predominantly focus on long lever movements. Using just your body weight or very light hand weights you will work all the major and minor muscle groups in a target specific way.
THE WORKOUTS ARE:
Inner Thighs (25 mins): You will perform graceful, flowing inner thigh raises and extensions that will strengthening and define your muscles. You will feel some bonus lower belly work in this workout as well.
Abs (13 mins): A fast paced series of oblique, upper and lower ab combinations. The various rep patterns will keep your mind engaged and your body burning!
Arms (24 mins): Using very light hand weights you will simulate long lever ballet style exercises that really shape the arms and shoulders.
Outer Thighs (26 mins): In this workout you will see extensions, raises and circles to target the outer thighs and hips from all angles.
Glutes (25 mins): All performed in a table top position these glute raises and extensions will challenge your arms and core all the while burning out your butt muscles!
About the instructor: Hi, I'm Linda - creator of Barlates Body Blitz. I have worked in the diet and fitness industry as an instructor and personal trainer for most of my career and have created close to 200 workout videos to bring my passion for exercise to you! What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
