Welcome to the Fit Ball Series. These workouts will help to take your pilates mat work to another level. Using the ball you will engage multiple muscle fibers at one time giving you maximum results in minimum time. The great thing about the ball is that it will give you a challenging yet low impact and joint friendly workout that is suitable for all fitness levels.
THE WORKOUTS ARE:
Bums and Tums (27 mins): You will start with an obliques focused series squeezing the ball between your calves, then move on to a tough glute bridge series with one leg up on the ball, followed by a crunch variations series to hit your upper and side abs and finally a glute raises series using the ball as an elevation
Upper and Lower (41 mins): You will start with some ball squeezes, move a side leaning arms set, then a front of thigh raises and extensions series, a back set on the ball and finally a hip thrust series with interesting single and double leg combinations.
Total Body Express (27 mins): You start standing with a series of sways, squats and lunges, then you move into a tough push ups set, crunch variations, v-ups and finally some inner thigh ball squeezes.
Inner and Outer Thighs (38 mins): You will start with lying inner thigh ball squeezes, move to a outer thigh raise series using the ball for extra range of motion, then an inner thigh series with the ball as added weight and finally an outer thigh focused series using the ball as an elevation.
About the instructor: Hi, I'm Linda - creator of Barlates Body Blitz. I have worked in the diet and fitness industry as an instructor and personal trainer for most of my career and have created close to 200 workout videos to bring my passion for exercise to you! What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
