Welcome to the Fit Ball Series. These workouts will help to take your pilates mat work to another level. Using the ball you will engage multiple muscle fibers at one time giving you maximum results in minimum time. The great thing about the ball is that it will give you a challenging yet low impact and joint friendly workout that is suitable for all fitness levels. You can use these workouts individually or string a few together for a total body challenge.
Shape your glutes and chisel your abs with this sculpting fit ball workout. Squeeze, raise and crunch those problem areas into oblivion! You will start with an obliques focused series squeezing the ball between your calves, then move on to a tough glute bridge series with one leg up on the ball, followed by a crunch variations series to hit your upper and side abs and finally a glute raises series using the ball as an elevation. You will hit every angle of the abs and glutes to give you an intense and highly effective workout.
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
