Welcome to the Lounge Room series where you will use your lounge room furniture to increase the intensity of your workouts. You don't need expensive equipment to change things up and to get the results you are looking for.

All you will need is some sturdy lounge room furniture such as a sofa, coffee table, footstool or chair and an exercise mat. You will be surprised at how much more challenging elevating traditional Pilates and Barre exercises can be. The workouts are joint-friendly and take up hardly any space so they are perfect to do even on holidays!

Glutes (24 mins): Tighten and sculpt your glutes with elevated glute bridges and targeted table top exercises.

Inner and Outer Thighs (28 mins): Lengthen and chisel your inner and outer thighs with traditional floor exercises with a twist!

Front of Thighs (28 mins): Tighten your quads and get rid of those saddle bags with this standing and seated thigh workout.

Abs (28 mins): Trim your waistline and flatten your lower belly with this intense core workout.

I first became acquainted with Linda's Barlates workouts by reading all the glowing reviews on Amazon and I recentlly tried out this new Lounge series DVD which was a perfect fit after a long day at work.It was still challenging though but had no dread factor as an intense cardio workout might after a long day.I love how I can incorporate the excercises into a Hotel routine or bedroom before sleep and as always Linda's soothing voice and genuine personality make me feel as though she's an old friend.She is very sincere and always available to answer questions.For instance,my rescue dog was terrified of the sound of the beeper in her DVDs so when I reached out to her she let me know which DVDs didn't include the beeper and I now own them all!Her workouts really work your small muscle groups using a resistance band and light weights and she includes many unique excercises which have slimmed my trouble spots tremendously!I love how her DVDs are broken down into segments that I can mix and match especially when I'm pressed for time or want to work a particular body part.I am so glad to have discovered the Barlates workouts and I think Linda is the best!!

Awesome! I don't have the room or money to buy a ton of equipment and Linda takes you through workouts showing that you really don't need any equipment. However, I do like to add weights and ankle weights to some of the lower body workouts in this series. The workouts are great lengths so you can combine them or just get a short and effective workout in when you don't have much time. Absolutely love!!

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
