Welcome to the Traditional Barre series. You will target all your problem areas with traditional barre exercises that are tried and proven to give results. There are workouts for all the major muscle groups with some cardio factor to torch calories and a big burn! They require very little space and are highly effective, giving maximum results in minimum time.
In Traditional Barre Standing Abs and Lower you will start with flowing upper body movements whilst in plie position to heat up the legs. Then use a chair for an elevated plank series with knee pulls to the chest, across the body and to the same side as well as knee windshield wipers. You will also perform pulses in a variety of positions to really fatigue the muscles. Next move to standing barre abs along with lower body squats, tucks and knee pushes all in turned out position. Next move to the other side and repeat the sequence for the obliques with parallel lower body positioning and slightly different exercises for the thighs. Then a standing knee pull and oblique crunch series with different lower body positioning to get into the muffin top and lower abs. Finally a ski to side bend move to lengthen everything out.
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
