Welcome to my DIY Equipment Home workout. No exercise equipment, no excuses, find these items around your home and come and join me! (for a detailed explanation of how to make this equipment go HERE!

In this workout you will start with large range of motion squats and lunges using the leggings for upper body engagement. You will see curtsy squats and knee ups with oblique twists, a wide plie series with circle punches, fast punches and triceps side extensions. Next grab your containers of rice as weights and do back lunges with hammer curls, then pulse lunges with rotations and over head pushes, then a knee in and over head circle press, finally a lunge pulse with alternating shoulder press. Next grab your broomstick for squat pulses with side to side rows, a side lunge with waist twist and side bend, a wide plie with front rotations, arms overhead rotations and waist twists. Next get your rags as gliding discs and get in to a plank position, do knee ins, then knee extend across the body, plank to wide squats and single leg split lunges. Next get your rolled up towel for the pilates ball and put it inbetween your thighs for thigh squeezes, 1 leg bent tap down and extend, then tap and reverse curl and reverse curl only, glute bridge to change sides. Next grab your socks filled with dried beans as ankle weights and get into a side lying position for L shape raises, knee to chest and extend, back sweeps and raises and finally knee toes. Finish with a lengthening stretch.

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor!
