Welcome to the Target 15 series. You will target all your problem areas with 15 rounds of 60 second intervals. You will add extra equipment such as ankle weights, resistance bands and pilates ball to some of the exercises to increase the burn even more. The workouts are easy to follow, but tough to do. They require very little space and guarantee results if you do them on a regular basis.
In Target 15 Weighted Upper you will use a stability ball and a variety of hand weights to target your arms, shoulders, chest and back. You will start with a biceps curl combo, then shoulder raises, single arm hinged biceps, a scarecrow to angled overhead push, lying triceps extension and close grip bench press, a chest press and fly combo, more standing biceps, a triceps dip and overhead extension combo, arm circles and raises and finally a tough upper back combination. Do it twice through for extra burn or add it on to one of my other Target 15 workouts for more of a challenge.
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
