Interval Barre Fusion Upper consists of 3 barre style interval workouts that can be done all together for an 88 minute upper body blaster or individually to suit any schedule.
After a warm up you will tighten and tone your entire upper body and burn stubborn body fat with various intervals of barre style exercises. You will target all those problem areas using your body weight and light dumbbells. Finish up with a relaxing stretch to lengthen all the muscles you just worked.
INCLUDES 3 WORKOUTS:
Cardio Interval Tone 50 (25 mins): Torch calories and create lean muscle mass with this interval barre fusion cardio and toning workout. 50 seconds of work with 10 seconds of rest - this workout will get the heart rate up and ignite your metabolism.
Barre Intervals 40 (25 mins): In this barre fusion workout for your upper body you will use your body weight and light dumbbells to shape strong, slender arms, shoulders and back. Consisting of 40 second intervals one after the other with NO breaks - you will be sure to feel the shake and burn!
Micro and Iso Upper (25 mins): Get ready to quiver with this focused upper body session. In this workout 50 seconds of micro movements are followed by 20 seconds of isolation holds for the same muscle group. Sometimes being still can be the most challenging yet!
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. Great workout as usual
Great workout as usual! All of the 3 dvds were superb!!! Got my heart rate up and tone my body like nothing does!!!! I had great results with Linda's Barlates last year from her youtube workout. I decided to buy more of her downloads and within a month and a half, I lost 14 pounds!!!! I'm not overweight to start with, just wanted to lose a bit of weight, but the result was unexpected! My clothes were looser and I feel really great! My whole body was really toned.
I decided to buy this set and other of her dvds! LOVE THEM ALL! Keep more workout coming please Linda!
Even the warm up fries your arms!
If you're like me and like to sometimes work your arms without having to drag out the heavy weights, these workouts are for you! Many of the movements reminded me of Tracy Anderson, but Linda is much more precise and controlled. She is a wonderful instructor, constantly giving helpful tips with a charming Aussie accent. I would have preferred a countdown seconds clock for the exercises, which Linda has added to her latest workout DVD (kettle bell).
Really fun workouts that will have you shaking!
I've been working out for pretty much thirty years, the last ten of which have been spent at home using workout DVDs. I have about 300+ workout DVDs in my collection -- and Barlates Body Blitz have become my latest workout obsession! I love Linda's personality, and she makes the time go by so quickly.
Each DVD contains three workouts, plus a warm-up and cooldown. In her first two DVDs, there were premix options built right in, but with this new set, you can only select one section of the workout at a time; this isn't a big deal, though, since each workout ends by taking you back to the main menu.
The Cardio Interval Tone 50 segment on each of three disks has 50 seconds of work, followed by 10 seconds of rest. Each of those also focuses on exercises designed to work the body part on that disk. For instance, the arm one has a lot of kickboxing moves, while the core one focuses on standing cardio work that targets the abs and obliques.
The Barre Intervals 40 segments contain exercises that you do for 40 seconds, before moving on to the next exercise, with no rest in between.
The Micro and Iso segments will have you especially shaking and quivering as you use micro movements to really fire the muscles.
These are really fun, and I especially appreciated the fact that the core DVD was actually fun to do since I hate core exercises (probably because it's one of my weakest areas).
There is also a "timer" that shows you how many rounds you have left in the workout, which always helps keep me motivated.
These are fun and effective, and definitely worth adding to your DVD collection!
