Welcome to the Ori Active Hula Barre Fusion Series. Inspired by the Polynesian flare of Ori Active wear this series will add some hula flavour to more traditional Pilates and barre style exercises. The workouts are designed to lengthen and define your body in a joint friendly, low impact way that is suitable for all ages and exercise levels.

THE WORKOUTS ARE:

Cardio Sculpt Lower (39 mins): You will start with dynamic hula combinations that include hip circles, side steps and forward and back movements, then add in a tough wide plie series and finish on the mat with clams, side leg raises and a lying inner thigh series.

Standing Lower & Abs (36 mins): You will start with hip rotations and tucks, add in some leg raises, back and side lunges and plie squat variations and finish with standing abs to whittle the waistline.

Cardio Sculpt Abs (42 mins): You will start with  standing hip rotations and tucks, add in some knee front raises and oblique leg sweeps, then move to the mat for lower belly exercises that incorporate flowing wave like motions, some oblique twists and finish with back extensions.

Arms and Thighs (44 mins): You will see some interesting thigh dancing and pretzel combinations with arm sweeps to help warm up the upper body, then you will move to a seated light weights arm series with lots of hula style arm movements flowing like the waves on the sea!

 

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
