Welcome to the Total 20 series. These short and sharp workouts are designed to give work your entire body in just 20 minutes plus a warm up and stretch. You can use them individually when you are short on time, or string a few together for a longer challenge. There is a lot of variety with different equipment and lots of fun combinations. The workouts are easy to follow, but tough to do. They require very little space and guarantee results if you do them on a regular basis.

In Total 20 Band you will use a Pilates resistance band with lots of compound moves to engage both the upper body and lower body at the same time. You will see some long lever side to side moves with arm sweeps, then some wide plie squats with up and down arm pulls, next move into wide plie variations with arm circles, curtsy lunges with more diagonal circles and triceps pull downs, side to side cross body kicks to loosen up, then a side leg raise with biceps curl, bent over back row variations, a curtsy lunge knee pull combo with side and up arms, then the same only in a crouched position, finally cross body knees and punches. Finish with a lengthening stretch.

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
