What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! Kneeling and Pretzel Thighs
Purchased out of curiosity. To my surprise was not only a great way to balance muscles in pelvis region but was mentally stimulating. Great explanation to intricate positions. I finally got the muffin top area in this! Positions stretched my upper back nicely proving it worked other areas of the body. Enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. ~ Veronika
Great Workout
One of my absolute favorite Barlates workouts, because it includes a lot of my favorite lower body mat exercises in one workout! Knee dancing, knee lunges (hits the inner thighs), a long pretzel set, and table work to really burn out the outer thighs and glutes. Linda provides excellent form pointers (in all of her workouts) which really help you get the most out of each exercise. And she also has a specialty in her sequencing, really pushing the muscles to fatigue and quickly progressing from one exercise to another. ~ Emily Bianco
