Welcome to the Lockdown Madness series. This is an advanced series that will challenge your strength, endurance, coordination, balance and flexibility. There is a large variety of different styles and all my favorite equipment to increase the intensity and shock your body into giving you the results you are after. You will strengthen and define all those problem areas with these unique routines.
In Lockdown Madness Tone It you will start in a wide plie position with shoulder scoops and circles to heat up the entire body. Next move into a triple lunge to front and back kicks combination. Then a kneeling tucked series with arm pushes and front steps side to side. Next stay with one leg kneeling and the other stepped in front for shoulder presses with leg lift variations. Then a cardio burst with knee hovers, glute raises, wide forward jumps and donkey butt kicks. Next a side kneeling leg circle to down dog leg circle combination. Then a glute raise to handstand series. Next, a roll back to v-sit, then various v-sit raises. Then a z-sit with various combinations. Finally an abs series with tucks, in and out air walks and wide leg raises. Finish with a lengthening stretch.
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
