Get a long lean physique with these yoga fusion total body workouts. Using a stability ball, yoga strap, balance pad and yoga wheel in four separate workouts, you will add a whole new dimension to your yoga practice. Increase core stability, challenge flexibility and strengthen your muscles with a unique series of exercises that will shape your entire body!
THE 4 WORKOUTS ARE:
Balance Pad Strength and Stability (35 mins): Challenge your core stability with this balance pad total body workout. You can make simple exercises such as lunges and deadlifts a lot more intense by adding a balance challenge. You recruit a lot more of the smaller muscle fibres to help your body stabilize when you perform your exercises on an unstable surface such as the balance pad.
Stability Ball Total Body (32 mins): A total body stability ball workout to shape every muscle group. A fusion of pilates and barre style exercises will get you burning in all the problem areas without any jarring or jerking. The stability is a must have piece of equipment for your home gym, it is fantastic for rehabilitation from injury as well as making all your regular mat exercises more challenging by adding instability so your core has to fire!
Yoga Wheel Stretch and Strengthen (40 mins): A total body yoga wheel workout to shape every muscle group. Increase core stability and strengthen your smaller supporting muscle groups with this low impact routine. A fusion of pilates and yoga style exercises will get you burning in all the problem areas without any jarring or jerking.
Yoga Strap Strength and Flexibility (37 mins): Lengthen and strengthen your entire body with this challenging yoga strap workout. A fusion of barre and yoga - this workout will help increase flexibility whilst strengthening your smaller supporting muscles. If you have shied away from yoga workouts because you didn't think you are flexible enough, then definitely give this workout a go.
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
