Welcome to the 5 Day FITMAS challenge! 5 workouts in 5 days to whip you into shape over the festive season. There's a large variety of different styles and exercises to suit all levels of exercisers. Minimal equipment, minimal space and lots of heart pumping, muscle burning combinations to engage both mind and body.
In Day 4 Cardio Box Sculpt you will use light hand weights to intensify a large variety of boxing combinations that also engage the lower body. There are lots of lateral side to side moves, a few jumps, that can be kept low impact if desired, and easy to follow punches that will work the shoulders and arms. You will then move to a standing resistance loop segment where you use the loop to sculpt the outer thighs, hips and butt. Finally you will move to the mat to chisel your abs using the light weights to continue to engage your arms. There is a lengthening stretch to finish.
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
