Welcome to the Target 15 series. You will target all your problem areas with 15 rounds of 60 second intervals. You will add extra equipment such as ankle weights, resistance bands and pilates ball to some of the exercises to increase the burn even more. The workouts are easy to follow, but tough to do. They require very little space and guarantee results if you do them on a regular basis.
In Target 15 Standing Abs you will use a stability ball to increase the intensity of some innovative standing core exercises. You will start with some larger range of motion moves with the ball in your hands, these include side to side arm pulls, a side and angled leaning series, waist rotations with knee pulls and waist rotations with angled sweeps. You will then move to 5 exercises staying on one side then switching. These are standing long lever crunches using the ball as a weight on the leg, an oblique knee pull, scissor and side knee combo, a side triple pulse reach combo, a front triple pulse lean crunch and a plie side lean with pulses and a larger range reach. Using the ball really helps to engage the upper back muscles as well, which are also part of the core. You will get your heart rate up and feel a big burn.
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
