Welcome to my BEGINNERS LOOP series. A set of workouts that use the resistance loop to take your mat workout to another level of burn! These workouts will introduce you to using a resistance loop to target all the smaller, supporting muscle fibers, to give you a well balanced physique. Intensify all your favourite mat exercises and feel the burn in all the right places. They are workouts that you can grow with so you can start with a very light loop and work your up to the heavier ones, and if it ever gets too much, drop the loop and do it without!

The loop will help you increase the burn on your glutes, hips and thighs as you sculpt lean muscle at the barre. You will perform standing and seated exercises that will chisel your lower body. These exercises are designed to lengthen and strengthen the muscle all at the same time so you will create a longer, leaner physique. The tougher your loop the tougher the exercises will be so you will never outgrow this workout! If it gets too tough, just drop the loop and continue without. Don't have a loop? You can just tie a resistance band in a knot! 

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
